This furniture is beautifully made, very heavy and robust and with characteristics that will last a lifetime.
The stone surface is exceptionally durable. It is sealed with a lacquer and a damp cloth will remove any spillages. Hot plates and pans may be placed directly onto the surface of these tables without causing damage. The slate is a natural stone and therefore highly resistant to water penetration. The slate is also durable, non - fade and attractive natural material, sometimes incorporating fossilised ferns etc. No two stone tops are identical.
There are 3 slate top colours - Autumn Gold, an attractive stone with very colourful patterns creating stunning autumn hue textures. There is also Desert Slate, a Sandstone sometimes incorporating fossilised ferns, creating natural ambiance. Finally, a Viola Slate, a very dark slate with a smooth surface, sometimes used as a feature on the tables.
Compliment this with a surrounding solid wood finish of Ash with clear lacquer, Wenge stain, Cherry stain or torched Pine, Oak stain and Cherry stain, you have the makings of unique furniture that will be the envy of all who use or see it!
